Alberta growing up together, I always had you in trouble. As we got older as cousins we became best friends. Our families always got to together & had some really good times. Couldn’t wait until the casino’s open up to play Bingo again & we would meet up. I will miss you! You are at peace now!
You was great pleasure to work with you be nissed so much
As fate would have it, only because of work, I met “Bert” 25 yrs ago. Over time, “unofficially” she became “Mom #2” to me. Will ALWAYS treasure our friendship, walks & talks & I will NEVER forget that ever sooo distinct laugh..you could be having the worst day ever, & once you heard that laugh, it made you forget about what was wrong w/your day to begin with!
Also, who, other than Bert, would sit & wait @Citizen’s Bank Park after the baseball game, was over, around the players bus entrance /exit with someone who is a Yankees fan hoping to see some pro baseball players????? (which we did!!)
Thank you to Jack as well, for putting up with us during our “visits”..
Great times . great person & great memories….thank you for making my life brighter! Miss ya & love ya….& ONLY in honor of you, I say “Go Phillies” {while I wear my Yankees bucket hat you saved from disposal & gave to me..}.
Condolences to Edna and her entire family. Had the privilege of working with Bert and Edna on Leiper St. Bert was the best of the best. RIP ?
Dearest Bert, For more than 60 years we have been friends. Even when we didn’t see each other for a while, this bond held true. You first became my friend when I needed a friend like you so much. You taught me how to laugh again with your wonderful laugh! We shared many of life’s experiences–good and bad, and you were always there. I can’t believe that I cannot call or visit you now. It breaks my heart. But I am joyful now, too, for I know you are with the Lord you love so much. And I know we will see each other again. Until then, I will keep the love and the memories we shared in my heart .Thank you so much for being such a wonderful friend.
