April 10, 1930 – April 14, 2019
Frank E Burger of Philadelphia passed away peacefully at home on Sunday April 14, 2019, at the age of 89. He was the son of the late Edward and Irene Burger and beloved husband of the late Elsie (nee Tiefenbacher).
Frank is survived by his daughters Janet (Pat) Wetzel, Joyce (Scott) Shannon, and son Frank (Elisa) Burger, grandchildren Laura, John, and Philip, as well as five great-grandchildren.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Frank served in the U.S. Army, and played trumpet in several area bands. Frank had a lifelong enjoyment of creating with his hands, working as a tool and die maker, and handcrafting wood projects. In retirement, he and Elsie loved travelling throughout the country. He was an avid Eagles fan but his family, especially his grandchildren, were his particular joy.
All services are private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s memory may be made to the American Red Cross (https://www.redcross.org/donate/memorial-donations.html/)
