James D. Troy Sr.

James D. Troy Sr. passed away peacefully on 6/26/2024 at St John Neuman nursing home where he was a beloved resident for the past 10 years.

 

In 1970 James married Susan with whom they raised four sons in the Wissonoming section of Philadelphia. James was a Union plumber by trade and worked for Herman Goldner for many years.

 

James was known for his quick wit and always maintaining a sense of humor even in trials and adversity.

 

James was predeceased in death by his parents (Mary and George Troy as well as his brother Jerry Barwick) and survived by his children James D Troy Jr. (Randi) Edward G. Troy, Michael S. Troy (Christine) Steven C. Troy (Stacey) as well as being the proud grandfather of Kayla, James III, Mason, Addison and Nora. He is also survived by his sister Louise Crites.

 

At the request of the family his viewing and services will be privately held at Mannal Funeral Home, 6925 Frankford Ave. Interment privately held at Magnolia Cemetery.
