Monica McCue
Monica M. McCue (nee Baumann), 72, of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully on March 16, 2023.
Beloved wife of the late Bernard J. McCue. She was a loving mother to Matthew (Sara), Erin, and Jay, and grandmother to Callan and Nolan. She was preceded in death by her sister Bernadette and brother Mark and is survived by her brother Patrick, sister Julia, and many nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Temple University, Monica spent over 30 years as a first-grade and pre-K teacher in the Philadelphia School District, inspiring generations of young minds. Her passions included painting ceramics, gardening, scrapbooking, doting on her adored cats, and participating as an avid bowler in various Senior Leagues. She was a proud and active member of various social organizations throughout her life, including the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Red Hat Society. She cherished spending time with neighbors, friends, and family and was a near constant presence at many parties and celebrations. Her infectious positive outlook, supportive spirit, and quick wit will be sorely missed by all. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and traveling, including to Ireland, Canada, Iceland, Austria and Germany.
Relatives and friends are invited to Monica’s viewing Wednesday 3/22, 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Mannal Funeral Home, 6925 Frankford Ave. (at Tyson). A second viewing will be Thursday 3/23, 9:00 to 10:00 am at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church at 7341 Cottage St. Her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.

R.I.P. Mom McCue. You were a wonderful Granny to the boys. They loved you dearly & miss you terribly. I was blessed to have you as a wonderful Mother In Law. I’ll miss our talks & laughing together.
We are so incredibly sorry to hear of Monica’s passing. She was always a pleasure to take care of! Sending our thoughts and prayers to her family.
