Lottie E. Johnson
Johnson, Lottie E. (nee Sultzbaugh) (November 28, 1925-December 4, 2023). Beloved wife of the late Harry Johnson Sr. Loving mother to Harry (Bridget) Johnson Jr. She will be dearly missed by her granddaughter, Riley upon whom she doted. One of twelve children, Lottie was a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews. Born on a farm in the small borough of Halifax, Pennsylvania, Lottie moved with her family to Fishtown as a teenager. It was there she met her husband. They moved to their Bustleton neighborhood in the early 1960’s where, over the years, she worked as a cashier and hostess and raised her son. A social butterfly, Lottie was a fixture in her community befriending many a neighbor. Fiercely independent, Lottie lived in her home until the age of 94 at which time she became a resident of nearby Rydal Park in Jenkintown. Lottie possessed an unflappable demeanor, no doubt in part to her considerable life experience. She had a nimble mind and insisted upon modernity. Lottie could recount stories of using horses as a mode of transportation in her youth but drove a car into her 90th year. She was born at a time when many homes did not have a telephone but learned to use a cell phone and send text messages to her family. Her son and daughter-in-law will take comfort in the fact that Lottie’s positivity, enthusiasm for life, and mischievous sense of humor live on in her granddaughter. Relatives and friends are invited to a brief graveside service to be held at Sunset Memorial Park 333 County Line Rd. Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006, on Thursday 12/21 at 11am. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions in her name may be made to Philabundance.

What a wonderful lady. So happy that I had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be greatly missed by all.
Sorry, I didn’t know.
