Raymond Master
Raymond Master, of Philadelphia, passed away on March 8, 2022. Ray is survived by his loving sister Loretta (Paul) Rossi, brother Vincent Pagliei, and by his dear friend Shirley Abdullah, he is predeceased by his brother Joseph Pagliei.
Ray was a man whose theme song could have been “I Did It My Way.” After proudly serving 4 years in the US Navy in Meteorology, Ray pursued various careers: an ironworker known for his daring in high places, an owner of a popular restaurant and bar in Northeast Philadelphia that bore his name and a professional poker player who spent years in Las Vegas. In his later years, after a reclusive period, he turned his hand to writing poetry and volunteering in political campaigns. He retired to Saligman House Apartments where he made many friends with his ready wit and gracious manner. Services and interment private.
