DSC_0843Mannal Funeral Home has always been a family owned and operated business since our founding in 1935 and is currently spanning into our third generation. Our family is committed to supporting and guiding your family as you navigate through one of life’s most difficult moments. We strive to ensure peace of mind as we celebrate the life of your loved one. Our goal and pledge has always remained the same, “to provide families with the highest level of service and professionalism.”

Janice H. Mannal, Supervisor for Mannal Funeral Home, is the daughter of the funeral home’s founder, Robert L. Mannal. She is a graduate of Lincoln High School, Temple University and the New England Institute, where she received her degree in Mortuary Science. Janice began her career with Mannal Funeral Home in 1969 and continues to be an active member of the local community. Janice was the first woman to serve as President of both the Philadelphia Funeral Directors Association and the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association. In 1996 Janice received a Gubernatorial appointment to the Pennsylvania State Board of Funeral Directors, where she served as a member of the Board for ten years, eventually earning the role of Chairman, becoming the first woman to receive the honor.

David V. Peake, Jr., funeral director at Mannal Funeral Home, is the grandson of Robert L. Mannal and son of Janice H. Mannal. He is a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. David has been a licensed funeral director since 1999 and has been an active member of the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association for many years, recently being elected to the Board of Governors. David is also a member of the Montgomery County and the Philadelphia Funeral Directors Association, formerly as a Board member and currently serving as President.
