  • We lost a truly remarkable woman. Aunt Dottie was my mother’s best friend, they raised their children together , and she threw my mom her “oops” baby shower for her when I was born lol Any one who knew her had a story to tell. I am fortunate enough to have many stories. When my mother died in 2003 she took my sister and I under her wing and that time was very healing for all three of us. We were united by my mothers love and true friendship. I will never forget talking to her on the phone and she giving me her encouragement of my education. It was the way she lived her life that inspires me she was strong willed and independent and at times very funny. I could never forget her and I aspire to be the wild free spirit she was as I get older. she was a red hatter, a clown (she literally trained to become a clown) a two-stepping, country music and the greatest Elvis Presley fan . Most of all she was my Dottie Dot and though my heart is heavey it’s because it’s filled with joy knowing she will be reunited with my mother again. “Love me tender ,love me true, never let me go.You have made my life complete and I love you so.”??❤❤❤❤RIP
