Stephen M. Antol

  • My deepest condolences to Margaret and the family.

I moved with my parents to Brous Avenue in May 1951, where our semi-detached house was on the other side of the firewall from the Antols. I was nearly 4 when Stevie (as we called him) was born. Being 4 years apart in school we never really played together as children. Then I moved out in 1969, and was only back for weekends and short visits.

It was after his Mom and Dad passed, and I was spending a lot of time in 2004 and 2005 getting our house ready to sell (my Mom was living there alone at the time) that we connected more than we ever had. After my Mom moved in June 2005, he would keep us appraised of happenings on Brous Avenue and the School District (my Dad had worked there over 30 years also). So we exchanged Christmas cards and stories for the next 14/15 years. I always so looked forward to reading them. Sometimes we’d even get a pertinent newspaper clipping.

Stevie was a kind soul and my last link to Brous Avenue. I miss him.

    Brook
